Poor coverage can lead to electro-migration, system failures due to condensation, and tin whisker growth.
What is Sharp Edge Coverage Conformal Coatings?
In response to these issues, Humiseal has developed Sharp Edge Coverage coatings (SEC Coatings), specially designed to the requirement of modern surface mount technology on printed circuit assemblies.
Feature of Humiseal SEC Coatings:
• Provides full coverage on component corners and edges, ensuring ultimate protection across the PCA.
• Compatible with conventional selective spray systems, maintaining process efficiency.
• No need for specialized application methods, including multi-layer coating or vacuum deposition.
HumiSeal® 1B59 Sharp Edge Coverage is an air drying, single component, synthetic rubber conformal coating. It is formulated to provide increased coverage on component edges, when compared to other similar coatings.

Application of HumiSeal® 1B59 SEC：
• Can be applied to cleaned boards and those assembled with low residue “no clean” materials
• Specifically formulated to shear to a viscosity suitable for atomized spray application.
• No additional dilution required.
Storage of HumiSeal® 1B59 SEC：
• Store away from excessive heat or cold in tightly closed containers.
• Suitable storage temperatures: 0 to 35°C.
• Allow product to equilibrate for 24 hours at ambient temperature before use.
2. Humiseal 1A33 SEC (Polyurethane Chemistry):
HumiSeal® 1A33 Sharp Edge Coverage is a single component, polyurethane conformal coating. It offers excellent moisture and environmental protection for printed circuit assemblies.
